Phalaenopsis appendiculata

Thursday, September 23, 2010

Apparently, this plant is such a minute one that I did not notice it hanging on the wall of the nursery. It was only when I walked a few times round the compound before I notice a small flower sticking out from a foliage of other phalaenopsis leaves. The whole plant is no bigger then the palm of my hand, excluding the fingers. The flowers are small and cute, with purple imprints on the petals. A true beauty.

  1. Hi Vincent,

It definitely a beauty of its own. This mini phal species are highly sought after previously and can fetch a price of up to $450. However, due to lab cultivation it has become more commonly available and the price has reduce drastically to an affordable margin for everyone.

    Thanks for the beautiful photo.

    cheers
    William
